Uncle Tom's Cabin
1852
Uncle Tom’s Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe is a significant book because it helped in abolishing slavery in the United States (of the people). Uncle Tom’s Cabin hit peoples emotions and raised much controversy in the U.S about slavery. Uncle Tom’s Cabin had hit Americans conscience, which made people not want slavery in the U.S and ignite the Civil War. Each of Stowe’s book, pretty much persuaded the reader, especially the Northern states people that slavery is evil, un-Christian, and intolerable in a civil society (of the people).
